During his second visit to the chamber...  Ambassador of Romania discussed conducting projects in Najaf with the chamber of commerce,

Romanian ambassador to Iraq, Jacob Prada Said that there is need for closer bilateral relations between the province of Najaf and Romania, in commercial, industrial and agricultural areas.

The Romanian Ambassador also discussed the twinning project between Najaf and (Suceava) city for similarity between the two cities in terms of sacred and historic stature and build bridges of cultural and urban cooperation .. Jacob Prada also offered his country's readiness to take actions project (tram) in Najaf, indicating about the readiness of the project plans and details, And he gave some details about a project of building a train line between Najaf and Karbala.

Prada said : "its very important for these project the security stability in the central and southern Iraqi provinces, which encourages the entry of Romanian companies and the transfer their technology".

Eng. Zuhair Sharba the chairman of najaf chamber of commerce welcomed the visit and reviewed the ongoing bilateral relations between the chamber and Romania, where it was in 2012 signing of a cooperation with the Chamber of Bucharest trade agreement .. He said that such visit open up horizons of cooperation .

Sharba said that Najaf witnessed the first (tram) between Najaf and Kufa since the last century, expressed the readiness of the chamber to coordinate with the relevant authorities and the Romanian companies to implement various projects .. The delegation included economic and cultural attaché at the Romanian Embassy in Baghdad, Mr. Saleh al-Hakim and managers of departments in the chamber of commerce.
