Italian trade Commissioner visited  Najaf Chamber

"The Italian companies knows very little about middle and southern areas in Iraq due to the idea about security situation in the western media". Dr. Alessio Pisani Italian Trade Commissioner had said during his visit to Najaf Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Pisani discussed with Eng. Zuhair Sharba the chairman of Najaf Chamber of commerce how to facilitate the mission of Italian companies to enter to the Iraqi market through conducting workshops , exhibitions and B2B with the Iraqi companies. Especially for building tourism , housing , Alabaster recycling and food companies. Dr. Pisani also announced to organize a conference for Italian and Iraqi companies in Amman next month and requested the assistance of the Chamber of Commerce to know more about active work sectors in Najaf And to put ITA in contact with Iraqi businessmen to introduce them with their Italians counterparts and facilitate their participation in the meetings and exhibitions in Italy. Eng. Zuhair Sharba said : "Najaf is not only a city of religious tourism because of the existence of cultural and archaeological tourism, since there are remnant of Christian and Jewish Temples, which is an important attraction for foreign tourists as there Iraqis wishing to travel to Italy for tourism and business, which needs for cooperation in the fields of tourism and trade and cultural heritage. Dr. Alessio Pisani promised to visit archaeological areas early next year to offer the support of Italian experts in coordination with the cultural attaché of the Italian Embassy and the Iraqi Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Eng. Sharba said :" Najaf chamber will contact archaeology governmental authorities to activate the role of the Italians experts in Najaf".
